Spring Has [Officially] Sprung!

Hello sunny days, time to the clean the attic and playing outside!  Shovels, hoes and seeds are ready, for the wonderful season of Spring has arrived!  The trees are budding, and raindrops come with thunder and lightning, not to mention warmer weather and longer evenings! Best of all, Easter is just around the corner.  The time when we focus on Christ's redemptive work on the cross.  It is no coincidence that Easter falls during the season of rebirth and renewal.

For little Piglet it means that she will be going on more walks with mommy, and doing more outside as our family works in the garden. It also means lots of sunscreen and hats to protect her fair skin.  It is a time of growth and exploring for all of us.

Along with her growth means making some decisions.  Thinking of spring leads me to think of renewal and purity, purity leads me to think about movies and tv, and what will we let miss Piglet watch, and how will we teach her discernment regarding movies, tvs, books, etc. For now there are certain channels that are not watched, and for the most part she watches shows that I like and have previewed (cartoons I grew up on, and a few tv shows I like.  She loves Gibbs on NCIS).

More important than making a list of what she can and can't watch I think it is important to teach her to preview something (read about it) and decide if it is something that honors our Lord.

For now though it is up to us and in lieu of watching tv, with Spring here that means time away from the tube, exploring the new life around us.  Our country home is full of new life coming up and out! :-)

Praying that God blesses you this Spring with many beautiful sunrises and just as many sunsets, and in between that you learn to dance in the storms.
